Privacy Policy

RegSlant ("we," "our," or "the service") is a regulatory intelligence tool for medical device professionals, operated by 37th Parallel. This page explains what information we collect when you use RegSlant, whether through our website (regslant.com) or the RegSlant Android app, and how that information is used.

No accounts, no persistent profiles

RegSlant does not require you to create an account, log in, or provide any personal identifying information to use the service. We do not build user profiles, and we do not track individuals across sessions.

What we collect

• Your questions. When you submit a query, the text of your question is sent to our backend and processed by Anthropic's Claude API to generate a response. Question text is not linked to any personal identity.
• IP address. We use your IP address solely to enforce fair-usage limits (a daily query cap and short-term burst protection), so the service remains available and free for everyone. IP addresses are not sold, shared with advertisers, or used for tracking or profiling.
• Disclaimer acceptance. When you accept our in-app disclaimer, we log that acceptance (with a timestamp) to maintain a record that the disclaimer was shown and accepted.

What we do not do

• We do not use cookies for advertising or cross-site tracking.
• We do not run analytics or ad-tracking services.
• We do not sell or share your data with third parties for marketing purposes.
• We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13, and RegSlant is not directed at children.

Third-party processing

Question text is processed by Anthropic (the maker of Claude) via their API in order to generate a response. Anthropic's handling of this data is governed by their own privacy policy and API terms.

Data retention

IP-based usage-limit records are retained only as long as needed to enforce daily and short-term rate limits. Disclaimer-acceptance logs are retained for as long as necessary for compliance and audit purposes.

Your rights

Since RegSlant does not maintain user accounts or persistent personal profiles, there is generally no stored personal data tied to you individually to access, correct, or delete. If you have questions about any data we may hold, contact us using the details below.

We may update this policy as RegSlant evolves. Material changes will be reflected on this page with an updated "Last updated" date.
